If you like water-skiing and want to be near Laughlin, Las Vegas, Lake Mead, and the west Grand Canyon visitor center with the one-of-a-kind glass sky-walk over the canyon as well as helicopter rides and a zipline, Mohave county is the place for you! Occasionally you might get a light dusting of snow in Lake Havasu City or Topock or Mohave valley, but you won't have to shovel snow here! You can fish and water ski the mighty Colorado River with views of it from your front porch.  The London Bridge was moved to Lake Havasu City. If it gets too hot, go camping in the Hualapui mountains with the highest peak in this county being 8417 ft. Some snow falls in the mountains. Perhaps you want to live in the pine trees in Pinion Pines near Kingman and visit the Colorado River. There is so much to do in this area. Don't forget to visit Oatman, an old mining town along historic Route 66. This county is a nice retirement area if you want to spend your time prospecting for gold or fishing or golfing and visit casinos. It is perfect for outdoor sports enthusiasts. Havasu Regional Medical Center offers employment. There's an Arizona State University campus and Mohave Community College in Lake Havasu City. And according to backgroundchecks.org, Lake Havasu City has the #4 top school district in the entire state. You can study geology, work in the hospitality industry, or have your own Air BNB. Interstate 15 runs from Canada through Salt Lake City AND through northwestern Arizona and then on to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. It is a heavily traveled highway and the part of it that runs through Arizona is one of the most beautiful parts of the highway. And you can own an RV park in Littlefield and spend your spare time tubing or kayaking the river.

The nice thing about this county is property is usually affordable. Water isn't too far below the surface in the valleys, but the higher you go in the mountains, the deeper the wells have to be. An alternate septic system might be required so this can be researched based on the area you are interested in. Some people actually live on a houseboat. You have to try Navajo tacos - frybread with all kinds of fixins, including fish!  Some popular restaurants are Hooch's 66 or the Silver Dollar Chuck Wagon in Topock. In the cooler months head over to Highway 93 for some hiking and warm springs and hot springs. The below picture was taken at a path to a warm spring. You can camp at beautiful Burro Creek Campground. Average temperature for Lake Havasu City in July is 109 but winters are some of the warmest places in the country.
