If you hate the cold, Yuma county is the place for you. Average high in January is 71. The mighty Colorado river runs through these counties. It forms the boundary between Arizona and California. At Parker, you can stay on your boat and pull up to restaurants to grab some food. Boat, jet ski, kayak, fish, swim. In the winter, you can golf and hike. We don't advise hiking in the summer except for early morning. Just go for a swim to get your exercise and cool off during the summer. Or visit nearby Mt. Lemmon or Sierra Vista or San Diego. Cool Prescott is 2 hours from Quartzsite. If you like off-roading, the Arizona Peace Trail offers you 675 miles of off-roading in these 2 counties and Mojave county.  Leto's Kayaks teaches you kayaking and paddle boarding on the Colorado River. You can even try flyboarding or go for a hot air balloon ride or try skydiving! Quartzsite is very popular with gold prospectors. Most employment is tourism and casinos. And Yuma has an airport and hospital. You could work for an airline and vacation in Central America! Quartzsite in La Paz county also has a hospital, and it is popular with gold prospectors. You could own your own RV park! You could attend or work at the University of Arizona Yuma Agriculture Center or Arizona Western College in Parker. Land is usually affordable in these counties and you are a close drive to everything from Phoenix to San Diego to Laughlin. You can camp at River Island State Park or go hiking or backpacking in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Park.  Summers are above 100. I like the winters here and the summers in Graham county with an average high of 91. I can find you something affordable in both places. The Colorado river and Gila rivers both offer fishing and provide water to farms. In fact Yuma is known as the United States' salad bowl. Over 90% of the salad greens and vegetables that are sold in the United States in the winter months are grown here. And did I mention views?
